Bret Boone slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Jefferson Park Penguins
defeated the Burbank Tigers by a score of 7 to 4 at Pro Player
Stadium.
Boone had a good day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot (his 5th of the
season) in the 4th inning, doubled in the 6th inning and stroked a single
which was good for two runs in the 8th inning. Jefferson Park ended up with
16 hits for the game while Burbank had 9.
Paul Wilson(1-1) went 6 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Greg Aquino
gained credit for his 3rd save. Jason Jennings(0-5) was given the loss.
